We are a husband and wife real estate team with combined 40+ years of residential real estate experience.
Yien has a background in medical science. Before departing from UF College of Medicine to care for his ill father, he had earned the prestigious Perkins Award with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. He carried that same excellence into real estate as he did in his academic past. Highly analytical and conscientious of excellence, he has distinguished himself in the real estate industry with his insights and analyses. He taught classes to his peers with the belief that a higher standard of practice is a benefit to the public. The classes Yien taught were generally considered the most technical and difficult in the industry, including contracts, negotiations, market analysis, transaction management, and risk management.
Yien’s knowledge, ethics, and professionalism extended not just to his clients but also to the agents on the other side of every transaction. Over 25 years, Yien had the pleasure of conducting business with hundreds of real estate agents, establishing a reputation of integrity and fair dealings. His unique expertise was so highly valued by his organization that for 5 years Yien served as a consulting broker for Keller Williams Advantage II Realty. From new licensees to seasoned top producers, Yien taught and provided consultation to agents of all levels. He was known as the “Agents’ Agent.”
Alysa and Yien were high school sweethearts at Oviedo High School, and were married after their graduation from the University of Florida. Alysa has been Yien’s right hand in all things. She left her successful occupational therapy career 18 years ago and joined Yien in serving the needs of his real estate client base.
Over the last 8 years, The Yao Team also provided a professional sanctuary to various likeminded agents, all required to commit to the same tireless pursuit of exceptional customer service and duty to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Together, they helped many families with their real estate needs.
Now, Yien and Alysa are entering a new phase of their careers. With the combined 40+ years of residential real estate experience, they are committing to focus their service to their past clients and by-referral only business. This allows them to provide the personalized attention that originally made their service exceptional.
